Framework for the Youth Dream-Building Program

The three major policies from Chairman Yun-Jie Li

1.Increase the care for youths from disadvantaged families to increase their competitiveness and narrow the income gap.

2.Expand youth participation, incubate the virtue of sacrifice, and thereby improve the team spirit.

3.A commitment to the youths, establishing the platform for communication between the youths and the government.

Supporting program ( * sign= flagship project)

*1. Disadvantaged youth assistance Program.
Assist over 10,000 disadvantaged youths by providing them opportunities for work study, internship, training as well as counseling in 2011

Sub-Projects
1.1. Promote the program for assisting youths from financially disadvantaged families with work study placement (Newly added).
1.2 Strengthen the preparatory program for the graduating college students from financially disadvantaged families with employment (Newly added).
1.3. Strengthen the program for comprehensive counseling service for long-term unemployed youths with degree of college or above on a case by case basis (Newly added).
1.4 Entrepreneurial training program for youths from economically disadvantaged families (Newly added).
1-5 Summer community work/study program for youths
1-6 Youth Vocational Training Center training programs at public funding
1-7 Youth career experience program
1-8 Youth On Light Program

2. Youth participation expansion program
In year 2011 it is expected that more than 200,000 youths will be involved in the 3 on 3 half court basketball game and backpacking in addition to participating in volunteering and community actions.

Sub-projects:
*2-1 "3 on 3" program with a million players to promote the 3 on 3 half court basketball (newly added)
*2-2 Backpack on bikes throughout Taiwan (newly added)
2-3 A diverse youth volunteer service program
2-4 Youth Community Action program

3. A commitment to the youths
In the year 2011, it is expected that more than 35,000 youths will participate in lectures, forums, competitions and dialogues. A website called “Young Go!” is expected to get more than 1,000,000 total hits within a year of establishment.

*3-1 Nation-wide lectures for Youth Dream-building Forum (Newly added)
*3-2 Youth Entrepreneurial Forum (Newly added)
*3-3 Plan for the construction of “Young Go!” website and its promotion (Newly added)
3-4 Youth Policy Forum implementation plan
3-5 Regional peace volunteers celebration implementation plan
